About Me
A student of London Fine Art Studios and Putney School of Art, I have a background in figurative oil painting and life drawing.

My landscapes are painted from direct observation, beginning often with compositional sketches and sometimes photographs. Painting en plein air is challenging but it is the constantly changing light and skies that inspire me along with the colour harmonies of nature. I enjoy finding the beauty in everyday surroundings and try to capture this on canvas.

In contrast to landscape painting, Still Life set ups allow me to play with the composition and draw attention to everyday objects that attract me. The lighting I choose can create drama or mood and their positioning can create a dialogue between them that brings them to life.

To date I have exhibited in group shows at Leighton House, Kensington, Hurlingham Club, Fulham and at the Prince & Pilgrim Gallery, Kew.
